Question
When I enter the Google Authenticator code when logging into Backoffice, why do I get an error that the code is not correct?

Answer

If Google Authenticator codes aren’t working, this might be because the time on your Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly.

To make sure that you have the correct time, please follow the steps below.

For Android devices:

  1. Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app
  2. Tap More   Settings.
  3. Tap Time correction for codes
  4. Tap Sync now.

On the next screen, the app will confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in. The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.

For iOS devices:

  1. Launch the iPhone Settings menu and select General.
  2. Select 'Date & Time'.
  3. Toggle on Set Automatically. If the option was enabled already, you can toggle it off and back on. And check if the Google Authenticator works on your iPhone.
